The Resident season 4 episode 12 is coming next week on Fox, with the title "Hope in the Unseen." Most of the doctors and medical staff at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital need a break, especially with what they've gone through as of late. So, Conrad (Matt Czuchry) and Nic (Emily VanCamp) decided to go on a vacation, but things may not go as they planned.

Conrad and Nic want to spend more alone time together in The Resident season 4 episode 12. However, they probably won't be able to get it since they need to handle a lot of things in the hospital and must set aside the personal time they highly needed. Although they've already planned their vacation, they canceled it later on when one of their patients need their help.

According to the synopsis of The Resident season 4 episode 12, Nic's due date is approaching so she and her husband, Conrad, decided to have a relaxing day off. But then, their exciting vacation was canceled when a patient, who has a mysterious condition, was brought to the hospital. This is going a though medical case not only for them but for other doctors, as well.

The biggest problem for everyone is trying to identify the mysterious condition of the patient. There will be a lot of discussions, given that they're seemingly dealing with an unknown. This is also the major reason why Nic and Conrad chose not to go on a relaxing day-off. Instead, they wanted to help other doctors in solving this new medical case presented to them.

Elsewhere in The Resident season 4 episode 12, Devon Pravesh (Manish Dayal) decided to stay by Rose's (Cara Ricketts) side as she begins with her clinical trial. However, the situation may go in a different direction when things take a turn for the worse. Kitt Voss (Jane Leeves), on the other hand, is feeling the pressure as she thinks she needs to get Chastain out of debt.

The medical drama is wrapping the current installment soon, which means that more stories are coming for most of the characters. The series may present more medical cases that could challenge everyone -- both personally and professionally. Yet, the future of the show is still unknown right now since there is no official announcement regarding the renewal status of season 5.

The Resident season 4 episode 12 will be airing on Tuesday, May 4, on Fox.
