Prince Charles may be making peace with Prince Harry after a birthday greeting for his grandson, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, Harry's first child, appeared on his social media profile.
According to reports, Prince Charles seemed to have gone out of his way to connect with his son, who has expressed in an interview in March that he's disappointed by his father for cutting him off. Royal fans also noticed that the Prince of Wales didn't post a birthday greeting for his other grandchildren, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte, who also celebrated their birthdays recently thus highlighting his efforts of reconciliation even more.
Prince Charles and Harry saw each other in person for the first time in a year at the funeral of Prince Philip on April 17. Reports stated that the father and son had a talk after the funeral but sources close to the Duke of Sussex said they were not able to discuss their personal issues at all since the reunion was centered on Philip's passing.
Sources also denied that Harry wrote his father a deeply personal letter after he told Oprah Winfrey that Charles has stopped taking his calls since he moved to California with Meghan Markle. The father and son didn't get a chance to thresh out their issues since Harry had to return to California immediately.
However, some royal fans have an issue with Charles' birthday greeting for his grandson as Harry's wife is not in the photo. They saw this as a deliberate snub of the Duchess of Sussex.
Markle has taken a lot of criticisms for suggesting that the royal family made racist comments about her son and the public regard her as the person driving a wedge between Harry and his family. Royal fans commented on the photo post by saying that Charles is rude for omitting Markle when she's the mother of his grandson.
Meanwhile, an insider has revealed that Charles is still fuming at Harry and Markle for their revelations on national television. The future king intends to "freeze out" his son thus many royal observers think that this relationship's issue will not be mended soon.
The insider also said that Harry didn't come running back to beg forgiveness from his father when he briefly returned to London. If Prince Charles is still fuming, Harry still hasn't completely forgiven his father for not supporting him.
