The official page of Kaguya-Sama: Love is War has dropped its first look at its upcoming OVA specials. The clip teases the naughty theme the new episodes will feature with the titillating turn of events.
With the anime and manga series' success, the franchise announced the coming of Kaguya-Sama: Love is War Season 3, along with a new set of OVA episodes. So, what do these special episodes entail?
According to Comicbook, the series' new batch of OVA episodes will be out along with the manga Volume 22's release in Japan. With its nearing broadcast, it now teases fans with the first promo, hyping the series more.
The three new entries will feature a "swimsuit episode." True to its theme, the trailer shows a lot of women in their sexy swimsuits.
It reveals Miyuki Shirogane and Yu Ishigami find a naughty book and another one with a cooking class. It then gives everyone a glimpse of what will happen next with the sequence of events.
Anime News Network noted Kaguya-Sama: Love is War OVA will have three episodes: Kaguya-Sama Darkness Volumes 1 and 2 and Kaguya-Sama Wa Tabesasetai (Kaguya-Sama Wants Him to Eat). Aside from the swimsuit episode, the second episode will center on the book they found, while the third one will be about a food battle.
The series aired its first TV anime in January 2019 with 12 episodes. Aniplex of America streamed it on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and FunimationNow and later dropped a Blu-ray Disc in February 2020.
The second season was then out in April 2020, which streamed on Funimation. After it ended in June of the said year with another set of 12 episodes, Kaguya-Sama: Love is War Season 3 was announced along with the new OVA.
The series has been top-rated since it began, thanks to its eccentric take of the romantic comedy genre, per Polygon. It follows Miyuki and Kaguya Shinomiya, who are the president and vice president of their prestigious school's student council.
Kaguya is the school's cream at the top for being the child of the elite, while Miyuki is a scholarship student who comes from a simple family. Despite the big difference, they fall in love with each other.
However, knowing they're two of the top students in the school, they are too proud to admit their love. Their story begins on who will confess first in the game of love that they refuse to lose.
Kaguya-Sama: Love is War three-episode OVA and Volume 22 will be out on May 19. Sadly, there are no words yet about its international release plans.
