BTS will once again grace the international scene as they are set to perform their new single "Butter" for the global audience, who will be tuning to the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.

Billboard confirmed that BTS will be singing their second English song at a show that will be beamed remotely from South Korea, where the boys have been working for the last two years due to the pandemic. The group is also expected to win one or more of the four awards that they have been nominated for including Top Social Category, which they have dominated for five years in a row.

The last time BTS performed at the Billboard Music Awards was in 2020 when the group also did a remote performance for their hit song "Dynamite." Also expected at the awards show are The Weeknd and P!nk, who will be on the stage at the actual event in Los Angeles.

The Billboard Music Awards is happening on May 23 and will be aired on NBC. Nick Jonas will be the host of this year's event.

Meanwhile, "Butter" will be ready to play on various platforms once it's released at midnight on May 21. There are speculations that this song will become part of a new album that the band has been working on after BE, which has the hit single "Dynamite." Rumors are rife that the group wants another album out in case they will have to take a year-long break from performing as they have to undergo their mandatory military training in South Korea.

"Butter" is another dance track that will highlight the charismatic charm of the group. Teasers of the upcoming single have been making their way on social media, showing the boys with funky and trendy new hairstyles and hair colors.

The fans have been thrilled to see the septet with their new look and style. Many loyal followers have been guessing whether the new hair colors could be tied to the single's release. No one has any idea what the concept for "Butter" will be able except that the teasers show the BTS boys looking suave and oozing with elegance with their outfit and visuals.

Meanwhile, ahead of the Billboard performance, BTS earned another Gaon Certification in South Korea. This means that they are the bestselling artist in the Asian country after crossing four million sales for BE. The group is also due to release a new album, titled The Best, for its Japanese fans. This version will be a compilation of their hits but geared towards their fanbase in Japan.
