Ex-partners Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been spotted spending some quality time together at a resort in Montana. The seemingly secret rendezvous has sparked rumors of the possible return of the "Bennifer" power couple.
Photos of the couple riding in a car together near a Montana resort have recently been circulating online. The 51-year-old singer and the 48-year-old actor were, reportedly, driving near the Big Sky resort - Affleck reported owns a home nearby.
Sources said the two were just "reconnecting" and spending time together. They, reportedly, traveled to Montana together and returned to Los Angeles on a private jet.
"[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town. They have a strong connection. It's all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy," one of the sources said.
Lopez and Affleck were previously engaged to be married in 2002. The power couple - lovingly referred to by the general public as "Bennifer" - started in various films together, including "Gigli" and "Jersey Girl." The two postponed their wedding in 2003 and later split up in January 2004.
Affleck later married his now ex-wife Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children- 15-year-old Violet, 12-year-old Seraphina and 9-year-old Samuel. Lopez also married his now ex-husband Marc Anthony, with whom she shares their 13-year-old twins Max and Emme.
Sources said the two had remained friends even after they were separately married.
"They have a lot of love for each other. They have always admired each other. They are friends. They have always been friends and they have seen each other through the years," sources said.
After their failed marriages, the two had dated other people. Affleck dated his "Argo" co-star Ana de Armas. The two had split back in January this year. Meanwhile, Lopez had dated baseball star, Alex Rodriguez. The two split up in mid-April.
After learning about their reunion, Rodriguez told reporters that he was "shocked" and "saddened" by the news as he had hoped to reconcile and make their relationship work.
