EXO has confirmed their official comeback for the year. With a few weeks remaining before they release their new album, the members are seemingly working on their preparations.

For Kai, he appears to have focused on his diet for their group's return to the music space. Koreaboo said that he even trended on Twitter because of this following his "chaotic food creation."

In a video series documenting his food choices, Kai recently showed off his new waffle maker. But, considering that he cannot eat an injeolmi waffle because of his meal restrictions, he opted to make a fried rice waffle.

Upon placing all the fried rice he had prepared on the waffle maker, the ingredients overflowed and caught fire from the stove. Netizens saw how "chaotic" and messy it was, leading many of them to poke fun at the EXO member on social media.

The publication said that several memes and edited videos have since emerged on the platform. Some even made comparisons of Kai's and Xiumin's food preparations, noting how neat the latter makes his meals.

Several others posted photos, as well, featuring some shots from Kai's video series. They all show how cooking tasks can be dangerous for the K-Pop idol.

The EXO member previously opened up about his diet in an engagement with actor and model Bae Jung Nam. After the personality commended his measurements, adding that his dimensions are "good for wearing clothes," Kai said that he has lived "on a restricted diet for about five years."

He explained that he puts on a little more weight and manages his diet further when working for a comeback concept. He, then, stated that he does not eat carbs "normally," and only drank alcoholic beverages about five to ten times in the last two years.

Meanwhile, it remains unclear what the other members of EXO are doing in their preparations for their 2021 comeback. It is worth mentioning, however, that they only confirmed their June album earlier this week.

The Korea Portal reported that the album, Don't Fight The Feeling will officially drop on June 7. It will be their first complete music release since November 2019.

EXO teased their fans about their return to the music scene last month. In celebration of their anniversary, they dropped numerous promotional materials, including a behind-the-scenes video, showing the set of their MV production.

All of the members have participated in their recent promotional activities. Chen and Suho are excluded, however, because of their military duties. As for Lay, he remains in China, focusing on his solo activities.
