As of press time, "Butter" is up to nearly 100 million views on the video-sharing platform. Fans are loving the new single for its smooth melody and lively beat.

The K-pop group also sat down with the media via a global virtual conference held during the release. BTS said that they are confident that "Butter" will shoot up to number one at the Billboard Hot 100 charts and replicate the success of "Dynamite."

But their biggest goal is for "Butter" to win a Grammy award early next year. BTS leader RM reiterated that they will work harder and focus on winning big at Grammy after they lost to Arianna Grande and Lady Gaga for the group or duo song release category in February 2021.

Meanwhile, BTS member Jungkook said that "Butter" has a very addictive melody. The boys have only positive words to describe their new summer hit -- cute, lively and fun to listen to.

BTS member V said that it's a song that brings good vibes and it's something that their fans could enjoy for the summer season. While "Dynamite" has a vibe that's reminiscent of Michael Jackson's songs from the '80s, "Butter" has a funky beat and highlights the rapping talents of Suga, RM and J-Hop.

According to Buzzfeed, the new song is an anthem for self-love and it's something that the septet has been advocating for years. BTS believes in taking good care of one's mental and emotional wellbeing and it's evident in their songs and messages to the fans, especially in this pandemic crisis.

BTS member Suga revealed that the lockdown has help them introspect on where they want their music career and their lives to go as the band scales the height of success. He said that they want to continue making music that encourages positivity, bring comfort and hope.

Meanwhile, the boys are preparing for their first performance of "Butter" on the world stage via streaming. BTS will be gracing the Billboard Awards on May 23 and could likely collect a couple of awards themselves since they are up for four nominations.

In June, the group will be commemorating their eight years as a band. Suga said that it still feels quite a short time because they still have many things planned for the group.
