Katrina Law's Jessica Knight will still appear in the upcoming NCIS season 18 finale, titled "Rule 91." The character was introduced in the penultimate episode and she's going to be an addition to the story moving forward. However, her role within the department is something that's yet to be seen.

NCIS season 18 finale still features Jessica in some ways. She first appeared in the episode "Blown Away", wherein she's the only surviving member of the Regional Enforcement Action Capabilities Training (REACT) Team. Her colleagues died due to an explosion and she asked the NCIS team to help her.

The team gets justice for what happened to the REACT agents, which means that the storyline was officially wrapped up. But then, Jessica still has a role to play as the current installment comes to an end. She's going to stick around with the team, possibly helping them with their latest mission.

Jessica could also form a bond with other team members, including Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham), and Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama). Law is only tagged as a guest star for now, but she'll eventually be the latest addition -- especially with Jack Sloane's (Maria Bello) exit.

NCIS season 18 finale might be setting up a story for Jessica, in which she'll choose to stay and start working with everyone else. Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) could give her an opportunity to stick around with the team as her skills might be useful for them in their future missions.

Meanwhile, the upcoming episode hinted at the potential exit of another character. Bishop has been training in secret with Odette (Elayn Taylor), and she previously talked about her trip to Bulgaria. Because of this, many suspected that she's going to leave at some point in the series.

The promo of the NCIS season 18 finale showed Bishop calling Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). She asked him what does "Rule 51" means and the latter answered it's about knowing when to walk away. This further suggests that Wickersham's character has thoughts of leaving and going somewhere else.

In addition, Bishop's life might be a danger due to her implication in an NSA link years ago. There's still a mystery on what happened during those times. However, she could be involved in a crime or was framed up that's why she's desperate to escape.

NCIS season 18 finale is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, May 25, on CBS.
