Vinland Saga concluded its pilot season later in 2019. As the public continues to wait for the Season 2 renewal, fans outside Japan have received exciting news about the series.

Comic Book reported that the English version of the Season 1 episodes is arriving this summer. The confirmation went public on Thursday via social media.

Sentai Filmworks released the announcement on Twitter, detailing its line-up for August. As stated, six titles will hit its library, including the English subtitles for each material.

The line-up includes Maoyu - Archenemy & HeroGakko*** School-Live! Another StoryMaria-HolicThe Magnificent Kotobuki The MovieMy Teen Romantic Comedy - Snafu Climax, and Vinland Saga. The release dates of each differ from one another, with the latter arriving last, particularly on August 31.

The series in question premiered in July of 2019 exclusively for Japanese audiences. It entailed a total of 24 episodes, which aired weekly on local channels.

The material is a direct adaptation of the manga series of the same name. It debuted in 2005 and has since continued its course.

Following the arrival of the series adaptation nearly two years ago, a compilation of the manga comics was completed. Based on the collection, the source material has had a total of 23 volumes.

Considering that there is a lot to cover in terms of the adaptation, many are now wondering whether a new season will happen in the next few months or years. This is in consideration, as well, of the overall positive reception of both manga and anime series.

The studio, alongside the production team, has yet to confirm the renewal for Vinland Saga Season 2. Since the conclusion of the pilot installment, fans have only obtained "Easter eggs" and hints from the director and character designer.

Republic World said that both series heads took their "teasers" to social media back in 2020 and earlier this year. Although they never mentioned anything about "Season 2" or "Vinland Saga," netizens are certain that they were talking about their works for the new episodes.

In the end, though, the publication pointed out that nothing is final unless an announcement arrives. Accordingly, fans and followers may need to wait further for the official renewal news.

Despite the lack of confirmation, however, several publications said that Vinland Saga Season 2 is highly likely to happen. Apart from its popularity among fans and followers, the material itself offers impressive arcs and plots, as well as characters.

Screen Rant even previously released some of the most apparent reasons why the series "deserves" a second season renewal. One of these things is its overall dynamic for being a "great historical fiction," making it a unique material in the world of anime.
