McDonald's has officially launched its latest celebrity collaboration for a limited time.

The fast-food chain restaurant said K-pop superstar BTS Meals will be hitting its outlets in the U.S., Canada, South Korea and eight other countries starting today, Thursday.

The launch comes less than a week after BTS released their latest English-language single "Butter," which is already topping music charts around the globe. Apart from launching the new collaboration meal, McDonald's said it will also be working with the K-pop group to release new merchandise.

To promote the partnership, McDonald's said it has released a new TV commercial featuring the group's latest single. The company said it will also be releasing "never-before-seen" BTS-themed digital surprises each week through its McDonald's mobile app.

The BTS Meal that will be available in the company's outlets includes 10 pieces of Chicken McNuggets, a medium Coke, and medium fries. For the first time in the U.S., McDonald's will be introducing two new dipping sauces - Sweet Chili and Cajun. The company said the sauces are inspired by popular recipes from South Korea, where the band is from.

McDonald's said the meals will be available in select countries - including the U.S. - until June 20. The company plans to roll out the meals in up to 50 additional countries by next month.

In a separate press release, McDonald's said it has partnered with Weverse Shop to release BTS-inspired merchandise. For fans to buy the merchandise, they simply have to create an account on the Weverse Shop app. The launch of the new merchandise line coincided with the launch of the new BTS Meal.

"The head-to-toe collection is inspired by some of the crave-able, hand-picked menu items from the BTS Meal, with dynamite threads like hoodies, purple bathrobes, socks and sandals," McDonald's said.

The collaboration with BTS is McDonald's latest celebrity tie-up. In September last year, McDonald's partnered with Travis Scott to release a new meal under the artist's name. In October, the company partnered with award-winning reggaeton artist J Balvin to release the J Balvin Meal.
