Song Hye Kyo is catching the attention of the public these past few weeks. This comes after reports confirmed her K-Drama comeback later this year.

Recently, though, the headlines are not about her upcoming series. AllKpop said that the actress is under the spotlight after insiders revealed her multi-million real estate purchase in Seoul.

On Thursday, sources claimed that the Descendants of the Sun star bought a 7-year-old property in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. It is, reportedly, a 2-story building with a basement, amounting to over $17 million.

One insider stated that the building is a 2014 property, and has a "beautiful interior and exterior." It is, also, said that it "has sufficient future investment value."

The publication continued that Song Hye Kyo is not known for investing in real estate and owning properties as assets. This is in comparison to other South Korean celebrities, who typically purchase estates for investments.

While the actress has yet to confirm nor deny the assertions, reports alleged that the purchase is a move for her "in preparation for her mother's retirement."

This is not the first time, though, that the Full House star received attention due to real estate reports. Earlier in April of 2020, she, alongside her ex-husband, Song Joong Ki faced various allegations about their supposed marital home.

Today explained that several speculations emerged at that time, claiming that the Vincenzo actor was "tearing down and rebuilding" his assumed marital home with his former wife months after the divorce. Despite not making a comment, the public seemingly regarded the allegations as truth because of the two celebrities' silence.

As the buzz continued to develop, the actress decided to step forward to clarify the matter. This, also, coincided with the allegations that she was "in a hurry" to sell her property.

Through her agency, Song Hye Kyo stated that the house, which Song Joong Ki was allegedly tearing down, is not their "newlywed home." As pointed out, the actress never lived in the house in question.

Meanwhile, the reports about her latest building purchase come ahead of the release of her upcoming drama series from SBS. Now We Are Breaking Up is serving as Song Hye Kyo's small screen comeback for this year.

Hong Kong Tatler previously said that the material started its filming in April. As for its official premiere, the production targets a second-half-of-the-year release.

She will star as a "fashion lover" opposite Jang Ki-yong. The series, also, has a "stellar supporting cast" as Mistress's Choi Hee-seo and Start-up's Kim Joo-heon are in it, as well.

Moreover, two K-Pop idols have joined the project. These are Sehun of EXO and Yura of Girl's Day, who will play the role of a designer and a celebrity, respectively.
