NCT 127 is making a surprising music release next month. The K-Pop group maintained its silence these past few weeks about the project. It was only on Friday when Amoeba Culture confirmed the collaboration with the idols.

Kpop Starz reported that the teasers first emerged on Wednesday. The agency, which Dynamic Duo and Go Kyungmin founded, released "mysterious photos" on social media and immediately caught the attention of the public.

Two days later, Amoeba Culture unveiled that they chose the K-Pop group, who is outside their artist line-up, to perform the track titled, "Save." They, also, shared the cover of the collection, alongside the official release date of the collaboration.

On Twitter, the agency noted that "Save" will drop on June 6, KST. While they captioned the photo with the release date, along with the words, "Amoeba Culture x NCT 127," the post did not specify what time it will hit music and video platforms.

Since the revelation of the surprising project, fans have grown eager to witness and hear the new music production. This, then, explains the surge of interactions on the Twitter post. It has since amassed nearly 40,000 likes and hundreds of comments.

Several netizens expressed their shock, as well, in the comment section. Some even utilized photos and gifs to show their anticipation and excitement.

Despite all the current buzz surrounding the group and Amoeba Culture, they have yet to break their silence regarding the details of the collaboration. Bandwagon Asia asserted, however, that more information will likely emerge in the next few days, leading to the release of "Save."

The project will serve as NCT 127's second music release of the year. It is a follow-up to their Japanese album, LOVEHOLIC, which they dropped earlier in February.

It houses a total six tracks, and has since met success inside and outside Japan. During the first week, the album sold more than 133,000 copies in the country.

The public last saw and heard NCT 127 during the "Vax Live" concert earlier this month. They performed their hit track, "Kick It," causing them to "own the stage," according to Billboard.

Their stint at the concert is part of the fundraising effort "to address the widespread need for more equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines" across the globe. Selena Gomez hosted the event, which ABC, CBS, and iHeartMedia broadcasted across various media platforms. Fans and followers were able to witness the performance, as well, on YouTube, which offered the "extended stream" version of the virtual concert.
