Filming of Mission: Impossible 7 has been stopped - again.
A positive coronavirus result after a routine test led to the cut. Tom Cruise and the rest of the cast and crew don't want lives at risk - so that's a wrap.
According to Variety, the movie was filming in the U.K. when it learned the bad news. A spokesperson for the Paramount and Skydance production confirmed filming was held back until June 14.
"We have temporarily halted production on Mission: Impossible 7 until June 14, due to positive coronavirus test results during routine testing," the official statement read. "We are following all safety protocols and will continue to monitor the situation."
This is not the first time the Cruise movie has been hit by COVID-19. Like other entertainment productions it was affected by the nationwide lockdown in February 2020.
At the time, it was about to start filming in Venice. Italy became the epicenter of the virus in the U.K., so everything was shut.
A number of COVID-19 pandemic-related issues stopped Mission: Impossible 7 from continuing production. The cameras started rolling again in the fall but it had to be delayed for a week in October after 12 people on the Italy set tested positive.
A leaked audio clip of Cruise's voice, yelling at the movie's crew members for allegedly breaking health protocols while in production, circulated online.
"I see you do it again, you're fucking gone!" Cruise says according to Entertainment Weekly. "We are the gold standard!"
"We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherfuckers!" Cruise says. "I don't ever want to see it again. Ever!"
The delay in production will result in a delay in the release of Mission: Impossible 7 release. So, fans have to wait until May 7.
