Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not part of former U.S. President Barack Obama's 60th birthday party at Martha's Vineyard over the weekend. Knowing the royal couple has a close relationship with the Obamas, does this mean it is now over?

The Telegraph broke the news about Prince Harry and Meghan's non-appearance at the recently-concluded birthday celebration of Barack. Allegedly, some from the Democratic circles claimed the Sussexes' way of imitating everything the former first couple does after leaving the White House might have jeopardized their relationship.

The Obamas, reportedly, did not like how the Duke of Sussex was attacking his family. An insider told the publication Barack and Michelle Obama value family the most and not the type who would want to see their kids talking about their kin to the press.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Michelle hoped there would be forgiveness between Prince Harry and the royal family, adding there would be "clarity, love and resolve" at some point in time. Despite what they are going through, she said there is nothing more important than family.

According to Express, there is a big possibility the current U.S. President, Joe Biden, may have also been warned against being linked to the former senior royals, knowing he is good friends with the Obamas. So, what may have led to this issue?

Just like Barack and Michelle, Prince Harry and Meghan have a deal with Netflix. The son of Prince Charles has also signed to write a memoir for the same publisher as the ex-POTUS.

However, Daily Mail noted it was not clear if Meghan and Prince Harry could not make it at the event or they were not invited. Though Barack's guests had been scaled down due to the COVID-19 Delta variant, a staff member told the publication about 300 to 400 people attended the event out of the original 500 on the guest list.

Some of the celebrities in attendance were John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, and Meghan's friends Gayle King, George Clooney, Jay-Z, and Beyoncé. Anyhow, Page Six reported Prince Harry and his wife did not really intend to attend the party since he might hold Meghan's own birthday celebration on Aug. 4.

For starters, the Obamas have a long-standing relationship with Prince Harry. They have bonded over his Invictus Game and even appeared in a clip with him and Queen Elizabeth II to help promote the cause in 2016.

Meghan, on the other hand, has also developed a close bond with Michelle. The former "Suits" star attended the former First Lady's talk at the London Southbank Center in 2018. They reportedly talked backstage and had a power meeting about their shared passion for girls' education.
