Jang Ki Yong will be enlisting in the military on Aug. 23 ahead of his new series, "Now, We're Breaking Up" with Song Hye Kyo. So, SBS decided to pre-record the drama's production presentation ahead of the actor's enlistment to keep him on the show.

"Now, We're Breaking Up" production team released an official statement to address the upcoming series' changes. SBS revealed, via AllKpop, its decision to pre-record the show's production presentation to still have Yong in it.

It explained the importance of showing the lead actors' "relationship and harmony" since the drama has a sentimental melodrama theme. So, instead of doing the production presentation without Yong, they ruled to do it in advance.

The production presentations are usually held during the first broadcast. However, Kyo and the rest of "Now, We're Breaking Up" cast members will now do it to let Yong be part of the show's discussion.

Aside from the 29-year-old actor and Song Joong Ki's former wife, director Lee Gil Bok, Choi Hee Seo, Kim Hoo Heon, Park Hyo Joo, and Yoon NamWoo will be gracing the production presentation. This will be the 39-year-old actress' comeback on the small screen and Yong's last project before his enlistment.

Here, he will play the role of Yoon Jae Guk, a wealthy and famous freelance photographer. He is a complete-package guy for having the looks and the brains, Tatler Asia noted.

Alternatively, Kyo will portray Ha Young Eun, a design team manager at a famous fashion brand. Just like Guk, she is intelligent, gorgeous, and fashionable.

If these two manage to play their characters right in "Now, We're Breaking Up," this may turn into another noona romance after Kyo's "Encounter."

Meanwhile, the Korean actress is now dropping little teasers of the show on Instagram. She recently shared a black-and-white photo featuring her and Yong while being seated together.

Though they have their backs in the front of the camera, their chemistry seems to sift through. She captioned the snap with their characters' names, while the photo itself featured the phrase "Photography Studio" and used the show's title as the hashtag.

"Now, We're Breaking Up" tells the story of love and relationships in the world of fashion, per PinkVilla. It will feature the hardships of a breakup and the emotional turmoil the former couple goes through.

Written by Je In, it will be directed by Bok. The show started filming in April and is set to be out in November 2021, airing every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m. KST.
