Fans may soon see Britney Spears owning the stage again after her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, teased her return to the music scene.

After four years, the Princess of Pop may perform once more after the news broke that his father, Jamie Spears, agreed to step down as her conservator. She also previously revealed her plans not to take the spotlight as long as Jamie remains her custodian.

Now, her partner told TMZ he is hopeful about the idea of seeing his girlfriend singing and dancing again for the people. The publication asked Asghari if Britney would be back to performing amid his conservatorship battle and said "absolutely," though he followed it up with "hopefully."

The 39-year-old performer has been on a hiatus since her last Las Vegas residency in 2017. In a post on Instagram in June, a few days before she made her first court appearance, she said she was "currently in a transition in her life."

Here, she addressed the questions about her return to the show business, revealing she had no idea yet if she would still do so. Britney added she was having fun right now and enjoying herself.

In July, a few days after her second court appearance, the "Toxic" hitmaker said she had no plans to perform while her estranged dad still had control over her conservatorship, Hollywood Life noted. Her former attorney, Samuel D. Ingham III, said the same thing in November, telling a judge his client would never perform again if Jamie would continue to handle her career.

Jamie has been Britney's conservator since 2008, but the Spears patriarch has now, reportedly, agreed to step down after 13 years, per Yahoo! Life. His legal team explained that even if there are no solid grounds to suspend or remove him from being his child's conservator, he would be willing to step down because of the public battle he now has with his daughter.

They added, he sees this fight as not being in Britney's "best interests." Jamie's move is said to be in response to the Free Britney movement, which has dramatically gained traction in the past few months.

It also takes into account that Britney claims his dad is abusing his role as her conservator. After the news broke out, the pop star shared an image of a woman with flowers in her hair and a pink dress and a butterfly on her shoulder on Instagram.
