Celebrity dating rumors and scandals have surrounded Korean entertainment as of late. Some wonder how BTS manages not to get involved in these issues amid the new pairs emerging from the K-pop and K-drama world.
After news about Crush and Red Velvet's Joy's romance emerged, it was followed by Lee Min Ho and Yeonwoo's dating news. However, the only news that could be heard about BTS was their success.
So, a netizen started an online community to analyze why there was no dating news about RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook. The fan believed there are a lot of paparazzi following this group around, even if it excludes Dispatch.
Other fans started to join the discussion, with one saying paparazzi who followed them in the U.S. found nothing. This fan alluded that either the boys were good at keeping their secrets or not really going out on dates, AllKpop noted.
Another suggested that they might only be good at keeping things to themselves. Now that they are all grown-up men, they may have already joined the dating game.
There is no way BTS is not dating; they may only be not getting caught yet. In fact, it is hard to believe that they have not dated again, eight years after their launch.
They may only be keeping their private lives clean so that there will be no scandal. Many of them even believed their fans would never let them down over a dating scandal.
Anyhow, it cannot be denied that RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook rarely talk about their dating lives. Though some of them openly talked about their girlfriends before, according to Hindustan Times, they had never publicly dated anyone after their debut.
But in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres in 2017, the host tried to press the boys about their dating lives. She even tried to know if they were hooking up with their fans.
Upon hearing DeGeneres' question, RM could not help himself but laugh while the translator explained what she said to other BTS members. The group leader quickly shut down the claim, saying they were "getting together" at the time.
Portia de Rossi's partner was not convinced, though, so she tried to stress her point, telling them they probably knew what she meant. She once again asked if any of them dated a member of the ARMY.
The "Butter" hitmakers just looked at each other, waiting for someone who would answer the question. Thankfully, V broke the silence and firmly said, "No, not. No."
