The official website of "Demon Slayer" Season 2 drops major updates about the series. Though it is yet to reveal the much-awaited official release date, it gives more juicy details about Tanjiro Kamado's return.
The site now reveals "Demon Slayer" Season 2's release window, though it carefully does not include the exact date. So, when will fans see Tanjiro and the gang's new adventure and what will happen after the events of "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train?"
The second season will be part of the 2021's Fall anime season and will continue until the 2022 Winter season. This only means that the anime will have two cours, so it will run until March next year, Anime News Network noted.
Fans can see it on Fuji TV in Japan, starting at 11:15 p.m. every Sunday. According to Oricon, the network's manager, Yuriko Nakamura, confirmed the broadcaster would release the series without any edits to its content.
Though the Entertainment District Arc may feature some suggestive content, knowing it will take place within the city's red-light district, it will remain untouched. Nakamura added the show successfully passed all the standards-and-practices review and would be released without any changes or censorship to the original story.
Meanwhile, despite keeping "Demon Slayer" Season 2's official release date under lock and key, Comicbook noted fans strongly believed it would be out in October. If that happens, fans all over the world can see the new adventure Tanjiro and his pals will take as Funimation will stream the second season.
In addition, more details about the new season are expected to be out when Fuji TV airs the first unedited broadcast of "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train" on Sept. 25, per CBR. But before that, there will be five TV specials that will feature the recap and condense the first season's events.
These shows will also reveal new art and behind-the-scenes material, though its international release is yet to be revealed, too. Moreover, aside from the much-awaited "Demon Slayer" Season 2, fans will also be treated with the debut of "The Hinokami Chronicles" this fall.
It is the first console game based on the franchise, developed by CyberConnect 2, which handled the same manga-based "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm" game series. Sega will publish "The Hinokami Chronicles" on Oct. 15 and it can be played on Windows PCs, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
By the looks of it, fans have a lot to look forward to that will lead up to the release of "Demon Slayer" Season 2.
