Several attorneys claim Henry Ruggs III is in serious trouble after a fatal car accident that killed one at the wee hours of Tuesday, Nov. 11, morning in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver is now facing charges of DUI of alcohol and/or controlled or prohibited substance that results in substantial bodily harm.

The charges also include reckless driving with death or substantial bodily harm. Ruggs' victim is, reportedly, a 23-year-old woman who died in a car crash. The police are yet to identify her identity as of this writing.

According to the police, the victim was trapped inside her car's driver seat and Clark County firefighters arrived to extinguish the fire, 8News Now reported. Despite their efforts to save the driver, she was already declared dead.

At the time, the 22-year-old athlete was also with his girlfriend, Kiara Washington, who suffered serious injuries. Ruggs, alternatively, was also brought to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.

The victim was driving a Toyota Rav4 and heading northbound on Rainbox in the right lane. Ruggs, who was driving a Chevrolet Corvette, was also making his way northbound at a high-speed rate in the center lane.

The Corvette suddenly veered into the right lane, crashing the rear-end of Rav4 on Rainbow Boulevard near Spring Valley Parkway. The fatal accident, reportedly, happened at 3:39 a.m.

The ordeal resulted in the closure of Rainbow between Tropicana Avenue and Flamingo Road for several hours as the investigation occurred. Ruggs was said to have remained on the scene, showing "signs of impairment."

Meanwhile, Yahoo Sports! cited there is no excuse for DUI in Las Vegas, knowing the city has a lot of vehicles. So, this means Ruggs is in a "great deal of trouble."

Ruggs will be facing a minimum of two years in prison if convicted of Class B felony. This can even increase to 20 years and there will also be nominal fines and a license suspension.

Local attorneys David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld said in a statement that they would be conducting their own investigation on behalf of their client, Ruggs. Alternatively, veteran defense attorneys with DUI cases experience revealed defense investigation is only Ruggs' hope.

If he could not avoid the serving time, his NFL career might be over as it was just getting started. Former prosecutor and now defense attorney Chris Scott said Ruggs is still yet to be proven guilty with his presumption of innocence but based on the evidence, "he is in serious trouble and faces a lot of exposure."
