Ben Affleck recently opened up about his experiences. He reflected on his past mistakes, as well as his regrets.

Star released a report on the matter, reiterating what the "Tender Bar" actor shared in his recent interview for the Wall Street Journal December/January issue. As noted, he looked back on his addiction and the pain he caused to someone else.

The magazine said he admitted he has "regrets," wishing he had done things differently and avoided causing pain. Ultimately, he would want his younger self to understand better "the nature of what was difficult about life" for him.

Despite the regrets, though, Ben Affleck acknowledged that true enlightenment does not come the "easy way." He learned that he had to go through things in an "authentic, meaningful way" to inherit the lessons he now has internalized.

The DCEU star continued that it is "only within the last five years" he felt "increasingly grateful" for the mistakes and difficulties he has had. He, then, asserted that life is, indeed, difficult, and people "are always failing and hopefully learning from those failures."

Affleck consequently talked about availing second chances. He revealed that he has tried to take advantage of it, and those that have become a success turned out to be the "defining aspects" of his life.

People previously released a similar report, detailing the actor's statements. As noted, he revealed that he is "very lucky" to benefit from the second chances that he has received, seemingly hinting at his reconciliation with ex Jennifer Lopez.

Rumors of getting back together first emerged in April. This came after the "Hustlers" actress and ex-fiance Alex Rodriguez ended their relationship in March.

It was only in July when Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez made their rekindled romance official on Instagram. The latter posted a photo on the platform, showing them sharing a passionate kiss.

The pair have since been spotted at several dates and engagements. The most recent one was at the Lakers game on December 8.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez had a courtside seat for the game. They held hands and snuggled up amid the event, and even got a shout-out on the jumbotron at the arena.

The two celebrities first began their relationship in 2002. They got engaged later that year and eventually postponed their 2003 wedding.

Lopez and Affleck called off their engagement in January 2004. They went their separate ways, with the artist tying the knot with Marc Anthony in the same year and the actor marrying Jennifer Garner in 2005.
