Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may not make it to the U.K. for the holidays, but Queen Elizabeth II will not let it slide without giving them gifts. A royal commentator claimed the monarch is far too generous not to give her family presents, including the Sussexes.
Neil Sean revealed on his YouTube channel that Her Majesty would be sending presents to Prince Harry, Meghan and their kids, Archie and Lilibet, across the pond. Queen Elizabeth will be following Prince William and Kate Middleton's move to give presents to the family of four.
Sean discussed if the prominent members of the U.K. royal family would exchange presents with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on his channel, Express noted. He said there would be gift-giving, but it would be very formal.
He even described the sovereign as "far too gracious to be too childish" to exclude Prince Harry and Meghan in the gift package. However, whatever they would send to one another was said to be "at a distance."
Despite the alleged feud they have with the royal family, Prince Harry claimed the Queen had remained in contact with him, his wife and his kids. In fact, she did not forget to give her great-grandson, Archie, a present for Christmas in 2020.
In his appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden," he revealed his grandmother asked the couple what Archie wanted for the holidays and Meghan said a "waffle maker." So, she sent a waffle maker for her eighth grandchild and the former actress made a "beautiful waffle mix" for them that Archie loved.
"Archie wakes up in the morning and just goes 'waffles?'" Prince Harry revealed. It has been said that the now-California-based couple cannot make it to the U.K. for Christmas to be with Queen Elizabeth.
A source told Page Six that although they had received an invitation to spend the holidays in Sandringham, the royal staffers doubted if they could get an RSVP from them. There would be a lot of issues in the logistics and planning of the family Christmas if they would accept, so the staff knew they were not coming.
If they would, they would have told them about it by now. But as this would be Queen Elizabeth's first Christmas without her husband, Prince Philip, who passed away in April, many hoped Prince Harry and Meghan would want to spend the holidays with her.
