Former entertainment reporter Lee Jin-ho is at it again and this time, his main topic is TWICE member Jeongyeon's health. The YouTuber reveals the real reason behind the 25-year-old star weight gain and activity break.

Lee Jin-ho posted a video titled "TWICE's Jeongyeon, unfortunate health condition...The real reason for gaining weight" on Wednesday, Dec. 22. Here, he discussed the main reason as to why she needed to be excluded from the group's activities.

The newsmaker said the girl group had met "unexpected bumps in the road" due to Jeongyeon's health problems, AllKpop noted. Four days before the band's concert, news broke that she could not be part of it because of her condition.

Despite expressing her excitement and joy for their upcoming concert in different interviews, she still did not make it. Jeongyeon revealed she had already completed her recovery, but JYP Entertainment suddenly announced her break.

Lee Jin-ho revealed that Jeongyeon has been undergoing treatment for her neck disc, which is also said to be why she gains weight. She underwent disc surgery in October 2020 and part of her medication was steroid treatment and its side effect was edema.

He added the officials claimed she was having a hard time due to the drug's side effects. She was even seen eating too much food today than before.

However, Lee Jin-ho admitted it was difficult to know Jeongyeon's real health condition. No one, even the staff members, saw any issues with her when she returned to doing activities with TWICE.

Anyhow, there are claims that her facial expression was sometimes gloomy and dark when she stayed in the waiting room or behind the stage. Lee Jin-ho even felt worried for her as she was often seen deeply sighing like something had happened.

Meanwhile, JYP announced Jeongyeong's absence from TWICE's first offline concerts in Seoul since the COVID-19 pandemic happened on Monday, Dec. 20. In the statement, the agency revealed it had something to do with her health concerns.

TWICE's "4th World Tour III" will be held on Dec. 25 and 26 in Seoul and sadly, Jeongyeon cannot make it after a discussion with her and other group members. The company apologized for this matter, knowing their fans had waited so long for their first live performance in a long time. Anyhow, it promised to do its best so that other artists like Jeongyeon could continuously promote in their best shapes.
