ARMY gets the support of BTS's Jin and J-Hope over their complaints about the group merch's high pricing. HYBE Merch officially announces a new set of merchandise from the global hitmakers is coming this month and its price tag surprises many.

Given that BTS is one of today's most famous K-pop stars, ARMY still finds it unjustifiable that their merch has a sky-high price. Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook personally design these products, like pajama and pillow set, and its price range from ₩69,000 to ₩119,000.

PinkVilla noted fans cried foul over the overpricing. Similarly-designed pajamas are on the market for only $10 to $20, which is a far cry from the merch's price. Thankfully, they got Jin's support, who was also surprised to see the consumer price.

In a post on WeVerse, the 29-year-old singer-songwriter revealed he was unaware of the final pricing. Just like ARMY, he, too, was caught off guard with the unbelievable price tag.

He even criticized the used material's quality, saying he had asked the team behind the merch to use a much better one. Sadly, he was still not satisfied with the final output.

Aside from Jin, J-Hope also expressed his disappointment over the merch's price. With their support, fans could not help but cheer for these two for taking their supporters' side.

Anyhow, HYBE Merch is yet to comment on the issue. Meanwhile, the company officially announced on Dec. 31 that BTS was working on creating their own merch lines for the past year, per Bandwagon.

The "artist-made collection" would be revealed one by one, starting on Jan. 1 until Jan. 24. It also unveiled a content drop calendar that included the merch previews' dates, behind-the-scenes videos and release dates that would be seen on Twitter, WeVerse and VLive.

It will start with Jin, dropping his "Good Day" and "Bad Day" pillows on Tuesday, Jan. 4, with a price tag of $64.10. He will also reveal his pajamas that are for sale for $110.55. These pillows and pajamas were already seen on the latest season of "BTS In The Soop."

RM will next unveil his "bungeo-ppang" wind chime, which was inspired by the Korean street snack, on Thursday, Jan. 6. It also comes with his own designed ARMY jogger pants.

Other's merch drop schedule includes V on Jan. 11, Suga on Jan. 13, Jimin on Jan. 18, J-Hope on Jan. 20 and Jungkook on Jan. 24. This merch will be available on the WeVerse Shop.
