Just when everyone thought they would be together forever, power couple Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet have split up. The former couple had surprised everyone when they released their official breakup statement as they headed for divorce.

Momoa and Bonet's have been known for their cute love story. The "Game of Thrones" alum used to be head over heels in love with his ex-wife, but everything seemed to have changed.

"We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times," the pair wrote in a joint statement as shared on the 42-year-old actor's Instagram. It continued to reveal that a "revolution is unfolding" and their family is not safe from it.

They both feel and grow from the continuous shifts that are happening. From here, they decided to share their family news and that is they are going their separate ways.

Momoa and Bonet cleared that they do not share this turn of events because it is newsworthy. They just want to go on with their lives with "dignity and honesty," having everyone knows what is happening between them.

The two revealed they wanted to set a good example for their two kids, Lola, 14, and Nakoa-Wolf, 13. Despite their split, they promised the love they had between them would carry on and evolve in ways it could be "known and lived."

They continued that they are now freeing each other to be who they are learning to become and resume their unwavering devotion to their lives and kids, teaching them what is possible.

Momoa has revealed time and over again that he fell in love with Bonet when he saw her on "The Cosby Show." After they met at a club, they started dating in 2005, had two kids together and eventually tied the knot in 2017.

Radar Online previously reported that Hollywood's favorite couple had not been together for quite some time now. The 54-year-old star had skipped almost all of her husband's promotional engagements for his latest film, "Dune."

However, they were still seen together throughout 2020, attending Golden Globes and other award shows. But the pandemic seemed to have stopped Bonet accompanying Momoa.

They were last seen together at the Tom Ford AW20 Show in February 2020. Bonet was also not seen in Hawaii, where Momoa filmed "Aquaman 2" last year. At the time, the 42-year-old actor was seen hanging out with friends and enjoying boat trips after the filming wrapped up.
