Webtoon fans have a reason to celebrate as they are about to see their favorite manhwas on the big and small screens. From "The Remarried Empress" to "The Official Blind Date," check out which of the most favorite webtoons will soon be a K-drama.

With fresh new storylines and lovable characters, it is not a surprise that many producers are interested in adapting the fan-favorite webtoons. These webtoons already have a fanbase and more will be added with their target viewers.

So without further ado, here are the five webtoons that will be turned into dramas and films this year.

"History of Nerds"

From a webtoon, "History of Nerds" was also turned into a musical in 2017. It tells the story of a man, who has a boring past, AllKpop noted. He is now in his 20s but is yet to mature, still clinging on his immature nature.

"Sixth Sense Kiss"

"Sixth Sense Kiss" follows the tale of Hong Ye Sool. She can see the future of the person she kisses, but things will take a major turn after she kisses her evil boss, Cha Min Hoo.

She sees herself waking up in bed beside him. So, Hong Ye Sool will do everything so that this future will never happen.

"Gorae Byul: The Gyeonseong Mermaid"

"Gorae Byul: The Gyeongseong Mermaid" follows the story of Soo Ah, the 17-year-old girl servant in a pro-Japanese family in Gunsan, and Ui Hyeon, an independence activist. The tale is set in 1926 when Soo Ah saw the injured Ui Hyeon.

"The Office Blind Date"

"The Office Blind Date," also known as "A Business Proposal," will soon hit the small screen. It tells the story of an office worker who goes on a blind date with her boss, per KpopMap.

She disguises herself and uses her friend's place to have a date with him to end the unwanted marriage blind date. This drama will be out in February on SBS with Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Se Jeong as lead stars.

"Tomorrow"

"Tomorrow" is a fantasy webtoon that follows the life of the job seeker Choi Jun Woong after falling into a coma following an accident and becoming a part of the Special Crises Management Team of the underworld. This group was established due to the number of suicides that led to an unexpected underworld event.

They have to look after the humans who have suicidal thoughts and persuade them to continue to live. The drama adaptation of this story will be out in the first half of 2022 on MBC with SF9's RoWoon, Kim HeeSun, Lee SooHyuk, and Yoon JiOn as cast.
