Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas kept their surrogacy out of the public eye. Sources said it was not a difficult decision because they have always "valued their privacy."

Speaking to Us Weekly, the informants claimed that the people closest to the new parents "were in on the secret." It is, also, stated that the rest of the Jonas Brothers can no longer wait to be uncles, adding that "their friends are lining up to help them with this magical new chapter" of their lives.

The same insiders continued that Jonas and Chopra are "on cloud nine" following the birth of their first child. They are reportedly "beyond ready," and there is no doubt that they will become "wonderful parents."

It is unclear who knew about the pair's surrogacy. But, it is not surprising that they kept it under the wraps these past few months.

Not to mention, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are, also, asking for privacy during this "special time."

On January 21, Page Six reported that the two celebrities made the announcement on Instagram. The news shocked their fans and followers upon learning about the baby.

The couple confirmed that they welcomed their first via surrogate, saying they are "overjoyed" to share it with the public. After "respectfully" asking for privacy and thanking their audience, they did not disclose the gender of their newborn. But, the publication uncovered that it is a baby girl.

When asked for a comment, it was revealed that Chopra and Jonas did not immediately respond.

The announcement came a week after the celebrity pair opened about being "hopeful" to share kids together someday. Priyanka Chopra told Vanity Fair that having children is a "big part of [their] desire for the future," and "by God's grace, when it happens, it happens."

This is not the first time the "Baywatch" actress talked about having children with Nick Jonas. In 2020, she stated that it is "very important" to her despite the hectic schedule.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra tied the knot in late 2018. People reported they had two "glamorous" ceremonies in Jodhpur, India, wherein they welcomed more than 200 guests.

The ceremonies, which took place over the course of five days, were Hindu and Christian to honor each of their cultures. They, also, reportedly "blended" it during each celebration.

Reports recalled that now-parents first met in 2017, and made their debut as a couple on the red carpet nearly a year later. Jonas proposed in mid-2018, months before they held the ceremonies.
