Brad Pitt cannot always get what he wants. This is one of the recent narratives a source has given to Life & Style for its February 14 issue.

Speaking to the outlet, the unnamed insider revealed that the "Ad Astra" actor was "excited to spend time" with Emilia Clarke. It was the reason why he placed a bid, amounting to $120,000, to watch an episode of "Game of Thrones" with the series' very own Queen of the Dragons.

However, Pitt was outbid by a friend of the actress, noting that it took an additional $40,000 to beat him.

The actor allegedly took it as a "rejection" from the "Me Before You" star, which "crushed" his ego. He felt like it was a sign that Clarke was not interested in spending time with him.

The assertions appear to be false and fabricated because Emilia Clarke did not avoid Brad Pitt as what the tabloid is saying these days. Although the charity auction event, where the actor placed a bid, did happen in 2018, the source's recollection of the story is misleading.

In an unearthed report from Harper's Bazaar, it notes that the "Game of Thrones" star even deemed the event as the "best night" of her life. She told in an interview for "The Graham Norton Show" that Pitt was, indeed, at the event and tried to "buy" her.

As stated, the auction began at $20,000, and the "Troy" actor went straight in at $80,000, even reaching up to $120,000. He was said to be beaten, however, by an unknown bidder, who won the auction at $160,000.

Clarke, later on, quipped that "it did not work out" for them because Pitt was eventually outbid.

Following Emilia Clarke's revelations, several outlets appeared to have fabricated a rumor, involving her to Brad Pitt. Gossip Cop said at the time that the headlines were about the actor "crushing" on the "Game of Thrones" actress.

The reputed publication dismissed the suggestions and speculations, saying that none of those things were true. They were "manufactured" by untrustworthy outlets, adding that there was no real basis for the assumption.

It continued that the bid was not only for Clarke as her co-star, Kit Harrington was, also, part of it. If Pitt had won the auction, he would have had the special evening with both of the celebrities.

Moreover, the same publication added that Brad Pitt placed bids on other similar auction items, as well. He, in fact, won the bidding for an "experience with the San Antonio Spurs" at $40,000.
