Meghan Markle has the most popular hairstyle among all the female British Royals. A new study found out that her up-do for her wedding in 2018 ranked the highest in all online searches for royal hair, according to Express UK.
The research, which hair experts Longevita conducted, concluded that the search for the Duchess of Sussex's hairstyle "skyrocketed to 244 percent, above average." As noted, she wore a "timeless chignon" for the special event with the help of Serge Normant.
Kate Middleton, meanwhile, follows in second with her "demi chignon" for her wedding day in 2011. The surge in royal hair search for the said hairstyle reached about 217 percent, making hers the second most popular royal hairdo.
A spokesperson for the Longevita stated that the data only goes to show the former working royal's status as an "established style icon" within the British Royal Family. This is despite her stepping down from her post as a working royal in 2020.
The hair transplant service provider continued that the results are a "testament" to the popularity Meghan Markle experienced when she officially became a member of the Royal Firm.
Nevertheless, the third and fourth spots belong to the Duchess of Cambridge. The specific hairstyles that many royal watchers were keen to replicate are her simple blow-dried waves from May 2020 and her blow-dry look outside the Lindo Wing following the birth of Prince George in 2013, respectively.
Meanwhile, Town & Country previously released a list of some of the "most iconic" hairstyles Meghan Markle has donned before the public. These include, yet again, her up-do from her royal wedding day nearly four years ago.
Alongside this, her middle part with silky curls, knotted up-do, straight strands, bouncy curls, side-swept waves, and "piecey" low bun all made the cut. Meghan Markle wore these styles years before she became a member of the British Royal Family.
There are some hairdos of hers during her time as a royal that made it to the list, as well. These are her blown-out beach waves, sleek pony, natural waves, high bun, half-up bun, and her signature bun.
As for Meghan Markle's hair secrets and tips, Hello! magazine revealed some of them, including the products she reportedly uses. As noted, the former actress never uses extensions, with her former stylist attesting that it is "all her own hair."
The Duchess of Sussex loves a few hair care products, but the ones she allegedly likes the most are from Kérastase. Alongside these, she is said to be fond of the Wella Professionals Luminous Smoothening Oil and Oribe Dry Texturizing travel spray.
