Alex Rodriguez is not giving up hope. He reportedly believes that Jennifer Lopez "might start to miss what they had together."

An insider shared the details to OK! magazine, which printed the claims on its February 21 issue. As alleged, while the songstress remains "civil" with her former fiance, the former MLB athlete still "carry a torch" for her.

The two celebrities, who called off their engagement and ended their relationship earlier in April, reportedly continue to work on untangling their joint business ventures. This, then, gives Rodriguez a chance to "reminisce" with Lopez.

The same source added that although A-Rod always ensures to compliment J-Lo, she does not prefer to be "feeling particularly nostalgic." She is said to be sticking to business and intends to sort it all out as soon as possible.

The "Hustlers" star does not allegedly want to be enemies with her ex. However, she is not looking for friendship with him, either. As claimed, she has already "put him in her rearview mirror."

Following the allegations, though, no one can confirm whether they are legitimate. The tipster did not provide any proof to corroborate the story.

In addition, Jennifer Lopez, as well as Alex Rodriguez, has yet to make any official comment about the matter. Hence, it appears that the latest claims are unsubstantiated, making them pure speculations.

While the former couple seemingly keeps things private, the "On The Floor" singer's former husband, Marc Anthony, shockingly reacted to the outlet's narrative. E! News reported that the multiple Grammy Award winner did not hold back when he commented on the magazine's printed story.

As it happened, OK! magazine promoted the unverified Lopez-Rodriguez headline on Instagram. The "3.0" artist shared five laughing emojis in response to the post.

It is unclear what Jennifer Lopez's former husband meant when he "laughed" at the speculative report of the outlet. But, it made the entire allegation more questionable and suspicious.

These days, Jennifer Lopez is with Ben Affleck after rekindling their romance from nearly two decades ago. They appeared to have gotten back together earlier in 2021, weeks after calling off her engagement to Alex Rodriguez.

J-Lo and A-Rod first dated in 2017, although it is believed that they first met in the late 1990s. In 2019, they announced their engagement on social media but had to postpone their wedding twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier in 2021, though, several cheating rumors involving Rodriguez surfaced on various media outlets. While sources initially claimed that Lopez deemed them "outside noise," reports learned days later that they had ended things between them.

Meanwhile, Marc Anthony shares twins with the "Selena" actress. They tied the knot in 2004, after her relationship to Affleck, and even renewed their vows in 2008. However, they parted ways in 2011, saying they have "come to an amicable conclusion on all matters."
