"One Piece" Chapter 1042 may finally feature the end of Luffy and Kaido's fight. The Straw Hat Pirates leader may unleash his Gear Four ability to put down the world-renowned Strongest Creature.
"One Piece" Chapter 1042 may reveal the much-awaited climax of this arc. After the long journey that the Wano arc has featured, things will soon come to an end.
Recent Highlights noted the third act of the current arc might end with the conclusion of Luffy and Kaido's lengthy fight. Eiichiro Oda seems to be not dividing this particular storyline into patterns anymore.
By the looks of it, he is making this story into chunks so that it is easier to understand. With that being said, the next chapter may focus mostly on the great battle between Luffy and Kaido.
The two are still fighting on the roof and they are doing it as equals, changing the tide of the game. However, the Beast's past memories are taking their toll on him.
After everything they have gone through, Kaido feels sad that Big Mom has been defeated. This pushes him to fight Luffy harder and eventually puts him down.
Luffy, alternatively, has used Gear Four Snakeman to fight and a new move, called Hydra, to give everything he has. He is now desperate to beat Kaido and it may finally happen in "One Piece" Chapter 1042.
Meanwhile, IBTimes revealed fans are now making their own theories as to why the World Government wants Luffy dead. Some claim Gorousei is afraid of Luffy's Devil Fruit awakening.
Though fans are yet to see its power, it is widely believed that it possesses extraordinary strength that is why the World Government gives it a different name to hide what it really is. In fact, the five elders prioritize Luffy's death more over the capture of Nico Robin, which only shows their fear over the protagonist and his power.
There is an urgent call to bring Luffy down and the surprised reaction of the CP-0 boss after hearing this order shows the Gorousei just made that decision instantly. It only means that defeating Luffy is not part of their original plan that is why they are in Wano.
So, will fans witness this happening in "One Piece" Chapter 1042? Nobody knows what will happen next, but Law, Kidd and other Worst Generation pirates have already awakened their Devil Fruits during their fight with Big Mom.
