The new arc is said to be one of the series's best arcs and fans seem to have high expectations. Aside from the number of action-packed scenes fans are about to witness, it will also feature major character developments.
Sports Keeda noted the new arc would also feature two major fights against the Upper Moon Demons Hantengu and Gyokko. In the manga, Mitsuri, Tanjiro, Genya and Nezuko will face the Upper Moon 4 Demon Hantengu, while Muichiro will handle the Upper Moon 5 Gyokko.
Hantengu has proven himself a formidable foe and will give the demon hunters a hard time with his incredible ability. His Blood Demon Art lets his emotion manifests in his physical form and each feeling is a clone with unique skills.
He can hide his real body in one of the clones, making him hard to defeat. In fact, he can be so strong that Mitsuri needs to activate her Demon Slayer Mark during their fight.
However, the main event happens when Nezuko gets exposed to the sun after a battle against Hantengu. Just when everyone thinks she is about to die, she manages to survive.
Sure, she gets her skin burned, but she eventually gains immunity to the sun. Not only that, though, she also manages to speak again, greeting his brother, "Good morning!"
By the looks of it, fans are about to witness this event in "Demon Slayer" Season 3. Ufotable confirmed the new season's coming and the adaptation of the Swordsmith Village arc before the final episode of "Demon Slayer" Season 2 aired, per Collider.
The new season is now in the works and it may adapt the manga's Chapters 98 to 127. It may have the same number of episodes as the Entertainment District Arc.
The announcement comes as a post on the franchise's official Twitter account and some of the major cast members will return to reprise their roles. Once again, fans are about to hear Zack Aguilar as Tanjiro, Abby Trott as Nezuko, Aleks Le as Zenitsu, Bryce Papenbrook as Inosuke and Ray Chase as the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, who will serve as the Demon Slayers' mentor in "Demon Slayer" Season 3.
