Kate Middleton has been a fan favorite royal since she joined the royal family upon marriage with Prince William. However, it looks like the public isn't the only one fond of her, but also Queen Elizabeth II.

Royal commentator Ashley Pearson revealed Kate Middleton is Queen Elizabeth's "special favorite" among all other wives married to the royal family members. Compared to Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson, Prince William's wife has a clean track record, with no hint of scandal.

Express noted Pearson revealed Her Majesty is very fond of her granddaughter-in-law for having unique characteristics that others in the family lack. In the Amazon Prime documentary "William & Kate: The Journey," she said the monarch loves the Duchess of Cambridge's middle-class values and likes how she has become to her family.

In her more than a decade as a senior royal, she has never tried to get extra attention for herself. "There's nothing flashy or showy," Pearson said.

With that said, Pearson revealed Her Majesty was hoping to see some of the future Queen Consort's traits in her sons' wives, Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson. She continued to say that Kate Middleton "tows the company line all the time," which Queen Elizabeth wanted to see from the late People's Princess, but didn't happen.

She also wanted the same from Sarah Ferguson, but also to no avail. Prince Andrew's ex-wife has her fair share of public scandals after their marriage in 1986.

Aside from their divorced in 1996, the Duchess of York was photographed with her toes in the mouth of his other lover while still married to the Duke of York. The scandalous photos were later published in The Mirror.

Alternatively, Princess Diana caused a huge controversy when she had an interview with Martin Bashir in 1995. At the time, she revealed there were three of them in her marriage-she, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

She also had an affair of her own. Compared to these two duchesses, Kate Middleton has rarely been involved in any scandal.

So, this made her a special favorite of Queen Elizabeth. She continuously and consistently supports the royal family and, of course, her husband, Prince William.

Meanwhile, speaking of Kate Middleton, she, along with the Duke of Cambridge, held their traditional St. Patrick's Day visit to the Irish Guards for the first time in two years since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the U.K., per Daily Mail. The couple was all smiles as they got in touch with the Offices and Guardsmen, the Irish Guards mascot Turlough Mor, and a young family attendee.
