Jake Paul, a boxing promoter, has offered Will Smith and Chris Rock $15 million apiece to enter the ring and resolve their issues following Smith's slap of Rock during Sunday's Academy Awards ceremony.

Smith walked onto the stage during the live broadcast and hit Rock in the face after the comic made a joke about Smith's wife's appearance.

"I've got $15 million for Will Smith and $15 million ready to go for Chris Rock," Paul, who owns Most Valuable Promotions, tweeted.

"Let's do it on my undercard in August," he remarked, referring to his upcoming bout against an as-yet-unnamed opponent.

"Someone contact Will Smith's boxing representative immediately," Paul said.

Rock chose not to seek charges against Smith, who won the Best Actor award minutes later and made no apology to Rock in his acceptance speech.

Celebrity boxing contests have become popular in recent years, helping to propel the careers of Paul and his brother Logan, who first gained notoriety on the internet before branching out into boxing.

While an intriguing prospect, the odds of Smith, 53, and Rock, 57, ever fighting are long, TMZ said.

They have accumulated considerable wealth over the course of their lengthy careers, and Smith, who portrayed renowned boxer Muhammad Ali in the 2001 biopic "Ali," would have a significant physical advantage over the comic in terms of age, height, and weight.

Meanwhile, the Academy has replied following Sunday night's 2022 Academy Awards, which included one of the most talked-about moments in recent awards show history.

Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith while presenting the Academy Award for best documentary feature, prompting Will Smith to take the stage and punch Rock in the face.

"The Academy does not condone any type of violence," the group stated on Twitter. "We are thrilled to honor our 94th Academy Award recipients tonight, who have earned this moment of recognition from their peers and moviegoers worldwide."

After Smith smacked Rock, the comic attempted to continue the chat, but Smith reaffirmed his point once he sat down, telling Rock to "get my wife's name out of your f-ing mouth."

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Rock has declined to seek charges against Smith in connection with the incident.

Authorities underlined that the absence of charges at the moment does not exclude the comedian from making a report in the future.
