Meghan Markle is allegedly aware that Kate Middleton was the one that convinced Queen Elizabeth to ban her and Prince Harry from the Buckingham Palace balcony on June 2.

In its May 23 issue, In Touch Weekly claimed that Middleton made it clear that she wasn't ready to face the public with Markle by her side. And since she's the future queen consort, the queen decided to listen to her more than the Sussexes.

"Meghan was devastated and suspected Kate had a hand in stopping her and Harry from taking what she believes to be their rightful place beside the rest of the family. Kate didn't want the jubilee to turn into The Harry & Meghan Show. She wouldn't put it past Meghan to have a camera crew following her around for publicity, what with their Netflix deal," the source said.

But even if Markle won't join the royal family on the balcony, she and Middleton are both aware that their paths would cross at some point. After all, there will be a slew of activities to commemorate the queen's Platinum Jubilee.

And when the sisters-in-law come face-to-face, the source said that Middleton will most definitely be civil towards Markle. And she will also put her duty first before her negative emotions.

The Duchess of Cambridge also, allegedly, plans to reach out to Markle via a phone call before the latter sets foot in the United Kingdom.

"Kate will bite a bullet and do it. Kate wants to have a word with Meghan alone to clear the air. But knowing the bad blood between them and how Meghan is a master at pushing Kate's buttons, the meeting could very well be in disaster," eth source said.

However, one should take the tabloid's claims with a grain of salt.

As of late, there's no proof that Middleton convinced the queen to ban Markle from the balcony. The decision was made by Her Majesty following the advice of her palace aides.

Since Prince Harry and Markle are no longer considered senior working royals, there's no reason for them to be on the balcony.

It's not also true that Middleton and Markle are already dreading the time when they would face each other. Despite all the controversies and rumors surrounding the Cambridges and Sussexes, Middleton and Markle have always been civil in public.
