BTS's Jungkook shockingly deleted all of his photos and videos on Instagram. What remains are his profile picture and his more than 40 million followers.
Many were surprised to see Jungkook's Instagram account empty on Tuesday, May 31. In fact, even his tagged photos are gone. So, what happened?
All of the 24-year-old's videos of himself and photos taken at concerts are now deleted. As no one knows what made him remove his posts, there are theories that he is maybe preparing for the group's upcoming new album/anthology.
As expected, fans shared their reactions to this move on Twitter, per AllKpop. Some start panicking, while others say it is like a major heartbreak.
Many even start to find traces of him on other members' Instagrams, like his voice on J-Jope's video, which was recently uploaded. As of this writing, there are no words yet as to why Jungkook deleted his posts.
This seemed to defy his title as SNS King, bestowed by his millions of followers. His latest post even gathered millions of likes in an instant.
In fact, it was noted that he crossed more than 1.6 million likes and 3 million views in just 30 minutes. He also broke the record for the Fastest Asian to reach 10 million views on Instagram by doing it in just three hours.
That made him the second Fastest Person in the world to have attained those numbers of views, following Cristiano Ronaldo, who had 20 million views on Instagram. The iconic footballer achieved the feat in just two hours, while Jungkook made it in 11 hours and 35 minutes.
The post then managed to cross more than 29.5 million views in 24 hours and reached over 30 million views in less than 25 hours and 30 minutes. In 48 hours, the video gathered 32.5 million views.
The now-deleted video in question was where he said he was missing his fans, Hindustan Times noted. It was also his first Instagram Reels, posted on Friday, May 27.
In the clip, he seemed to be sitting inside a car. His surrounding was dark, so his face was near his phone.
He was teasing his fans as the line, "'Cause I need you now, but I don't know you yet," was playing in the background. Of course, many fans celebrated and shared their reactions to it on Twitter.
One fan said Jungkook always comes "abruptly and unexpectedly," causing noise with his photos and videos. Many also expressed their love and praise for him.
