Fans strongly believe Girls' Generation is up to something after posting different photos on Instagram on Wednesday, June 1. There are even claims that Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun are all together.
AllKpop noted that Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun were all spotted together, leading to the assumption that they might be filming a show. As expected, this excites fans, so does it have something to do with the Girls' Generation's comeback?
The group's followers alleged the girls might be doing the production of their own reality TV series. In the snaps, they seemed to be doing different recreational activities with one another as it appeared far from a music video.
For starters, SM Entertainment announced the group's return on May 17. The girls would be dropping a new album in August in celebration of their 15th anniversary.
After only five members renewed their contracts in 2017, the original eight-piece band's group activities had remained dormant. So, the individual members started doing solo activities, like acting, modeling and releasing solo music.
However, since 2022 begins, Girls Generation members seem to be hinting at the possibility of a reunion, per Bandwagon Asia. In fact, Taeyeon teased fans of the girls' comeback on her Instagram live.
As this pushes through, their return on stage is one of the most anticipated K-pop comebacks this year. This will be the first time that they will be once again together as a group after five years.
Their latest release is the fast-selling Korean-language album, "Holiday Night," in 2017. So, their upcoming album will be their sixth release.
Hindustan Times added that the group might appear on TV and reality shows, just like their rumored recent activity, as part of their promotions.
Meanwhile, when the news emerged that Girls Generation would make a comeback, fans could not help but celebrate. One fan said haters might want them to break apart, but they would always stick together, adding they had been through a lot already.
Though they had sacrificed for each other's sake, they still chose to stay. With that said, the fan swore she would always be proud of these girls "today, tomorrow and forever."
Another chimed in and said the "queens, icons, show stoppers and multi-talented legendary group" is back to show everyone how it is done. Girls Generation will once again dominate the music scene in a couple of months.
