Prince Harry and Prince William remain at odds with each other and Kate Middleton is reportedly continuously playing the peacemaker for the brothers to mend their relationship. However, it looks like the public wants Meghan Markle's husband to apologize to the Duke of Cambridge instead.

A new poll for Express revealed that the people wanted Prince Harry to make the first move for reconciliation. According to reports, Prince William is still mourning the break of their bond and his friends see a little chance of reparation in the foreseeable future, adding they're at the "rock bottom" with a poor possibility of improvement.

A source told Daily Mail the future king is alternating between grieving for what he has lost and feeling angry about what his brother has done. Despite the feud, he truly loves his younger sibling and feels like he has lost the only person who understands the strange life that they have aside from his wife.

"But he believes there are things you just don't do and Harry has 100% crossed that line," the insider added. That said, the second in line to the throne believes the Duke of Sussex has "disrespected" Queen Elizabeth II and their family.

So, Express conducted a poll to ask its readers if they believed Prince Harry should apologize to Prince William to end their fight. The survey ran for five days, from Saturday, June 18, to Thursday, June 23, and had 6,501 respondents.

Out of the said figure, 80% or 5,188 participants voted "yes," while only 17% or 1,138 said "no." Three percent or 175 partakers weren't sure if the father-of-two needed to say sorry to his older brother.

Many readers also said Prince Harry should apologize to Prince William, though the trust between them might no longer be fixed.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Prince William's feud have reportedly started since the Sussexes stepped down as senior royals in 2020. Though it has been two years, Kate Middleton remains hopeful that they will reconcile and she's willing to do everything to help them mend their relationship.

An insider told Us Weekly the Duchess of Cambridge could save the two princes' relationship. She allegedly feels that despite everything that has happened, Prince William still feels the loss of his brother.

Hence, she plays the peacemaker, though her efforts seem unsuccessful. Kate Middleton has done everything from calling Prince Harry in Montecito to asking him to reach out to Prince William on his birthday, but the boys are said to be both stubborn, "so there's not much hope."
