Jinwoo is about to dominate the small screens with the upcoming anime adaptation of "Solo Leveling." The new series is now in the works after the franchise formally announces its official synopsis, staff and release date.

Fans expect "Solo Leveling" to be another manhwa series that will make it big on TV. After much fan demand, the people behind this successful hit South Korean comic book finally gave in.

The webtoon already ended in December 2021. Now, it's returning in anime form and many expect it to be a success.

Comicbook noted that Aniplex is now producing the new series and it's set for release on Crunchyroll in 2023. Shunsuke Nakashige will be its main director for A-1 Pictures, along with Noboru Kimura as the head writer, Tomoko Sudo as the character designer and Hiroyuki Sawano as the musical scorer.

So, what story it's about to take? The official "Solo Leveling" synopsis reveals the sudden appearance of the "gates" after more than a decade.

It's the path that connects the world with a different dimension. Since then, certain people have obtained supernatural powers called "hunters," who make a living by using their powers to conquer dungeons inside the gates.

Among the tough customers, Jinwoo is a low-ranked hunter known as "the weakest hunter of all mankind." One day, he gets seriously injured after running into high-rank double dungeons hidden within the low-rank dungeon.

A mysterious quest window then appears in front of him. While on the verge of death, Jinwoo accepts a quest that makes him level up, though others remain the same.

"Solo Leveling" is originally a web novel series titled "Only I Level Up" by Chugong. It then becomes a full webtoon with art from DUBU.

After it makes record-breaking sales with its manhwa and manga, it's now making its way to the small screen. Following the official announcement of its anime's coming, fans are now hyped once again by Jinwoo's return.

The series started in South Korea and was published by Kakao. Yen Press then oversaw its publication in English.

Aside from the upcoming anime, a new drama about Jinwoo's story is being produced in Korea and a video game. Though it will still take a year before fans see "Solo Leveling" anime, the franchise has now dropped an official trailer to tease what viewers are about to witness in Jinwoo's new adventure as he's about to dominate the TV viewing.
