Dawn finally revealed his plans for his upcoming marriage with long-time girlfriend HyunA on MBC's "Radio Star" on Wednesday, July 13. The two announced their engagement in February and fans are now waiting to hear the wedding bells.
Dawn graced "Radio Star" with Kim Jong Min, Honey J, Jo Kwon and Meenoi and discussed his marriage plans with HyunA. So, when will these two tie the knot?
The hosts asked the former rapper if they had already set a date for their wedding. Though he revealed that they hadn't had a date yet, he cleared that they had always had the heart to get married.
"Our personality type is that we could even get married next week if we wanted," he explained via AllKpop. From there, the MCs congratulated him on his upcoming union.
For starters, the couple recently drew attention after announcing their engagement on Instagram by posting unique matching rings that Dawn personally designed. SCMP revealed that the maker of the bands, the luxury jewelry brand Diligems, created the rings with "white gold, opals and seven diamonds of different shapes and colors."
The rings reportedly cost enough to pay a yearly rent and were customized for HyunA and Dawn only. That only meant that it would never be duplicated.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar Korea, Dawn talked about his lady love and his new song, "Stupid Cool," which marked his first solo release after almost two years, per Soompi. He said his latest single was reworking the track he first wrote two and a half years ago.
He sometimes listened to the songs he made in the past and hearing them again would make them sound new to him. He then admitted that he found it hard to write the same kind of music he did before.
So, Dawn explained that if he finished the song in the past, it would play differently today. Anyhow, he believed "Stupid Cool" turned out the way it should be, knowing he had grown as a musician since he first wrote it.
Meanwhile, HyunA was Dawn's photographer for the cover of his album and he had nothing but good words about her. In fact, he praised his fiancé for her incredible artistic talents, revealing she's a person he truly admires and respects.
He also commended her outstanding grasp of visuals, getting a lot of help from here regarding visual elements, like colors or outfits. With the outcome of the album jacket that HyunA shot for "Stupid Cool," Dawn saw how his soon-to-be wife sees him.
