Asta will finally be back after Yuki Tabata took three months of hiatus to start the series' final arc. In a couple of weeks, the beginning is about to end as Weekly Shonen Jump officially announces the return of "Black Clover" to serialization.
The publication's app posted a little teaser about the "Black Clover" return. Viz Media's website, alternatively, seems to confirm the release of the manga's new chapter after seeing the title's banner added.
However, Comicbook noted that Tabata had yet to confirm the report as of this writing. Shueisha has also remained mum about it.
But as Viz Media still has the banner up, there are high hopes that "Black Clover" will soon see the light of the day. In fact, fans know it will soon make a return, which may happen in August.
The manga went on a hiatus in April after Tabata announced he would take a three-month break. The mangaka aimed to take some time off to physically and mentally prepare for Asta and the rest of the gang's final adventure.
The Black Bull mage still has a lot to do before "Black Clover" ends. As this will be the series' final outing, Tabata may need all the time in the world to give it a proper ending.
The manga released its last chapter, Chapter 331, on April 24. After that, the creator announced his three-month hiatus.
He said he personally wished to continue the series' story without taking a break. But after talking to the editorial department about things, they had decided that he should take a long pause to give him more time to create the final arc, per Anime Corner.
He then apologized to everyone looking forward to reading new "Black Clover" chapters every week. With that said, he promised to do his best to make it as good as possible and give it a proper ending.
Tabata ended his note by saying he would appreciate it if readers could just wait a little longer. Fortunately, the wait would be soon over.
"Black Clover" may finally return on August 1 if Weekly Shonen Jump's announcement has anything to go by. The manga has been serialized since 2015 and it's also available to read on Viz Media's website, Manga Plus website and the Shonen Jump mobile app in English. It was also adapted into an anime with 170 episodes by Studio Pierrot, running from 2017 to 2021.
