A royal expert saw Prince William and Kate Middleton's move to Windsor fitting for their three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The professional advised the royal couple to move out of Kensington Palace as it seemed to be a "glorious prison" for their children.

Royal biographer Ingrid Seward deemed Prince William and Kate Middleton's decision to move to Windsor a perfect move for their kids. According to reports, they will move into Adelaide Cottage on Queen Elizabeth II's 665-acre Windsor estate this summer.

This move will bring the Cambridges closer to Her Majesty herself as the Duke of Cambridge takes in more royal duties after his grandmother lessens her workload following some health complaints.

The Majesty magazine's editor-in-chief said the couple also needed space to bring up their three kids. She told The Sun that Kensington Palace is a "glorious prison for kids" as they surely wanted to play without being watched from behind the gates.

With that said, Windsor would be the perfect place for them to grow. It will give them the freedom they need and they can even be at school altogether.

Express noted the family is now preparing for their move and Prince William and Kate Middleton themselves are "looking forward" to moving to Windsor. A different source told Us Weekly that the whole family was excited about the move.

It will also bring Kate Middleton closer to her own family and the place where she grew up, Bucklebury, Berkshire. As Adelaide doesn't have enough space for staff to live in, this will also give the Cambridge kids a more grounded upbringing.

With that said, Seward saw it as the perfect place for them to live in. Meanwhile, aside from moving them closer to the Queen, they will also be closer to London if they choose to permanently live in Berkshire or Anmer Hall.

Mirror added they now have the keys to Adelaide Cottage, a four-bedroom house on the Berkshire estate, where they will formally relocate by the end of the summer.

Though they can enjoy any locations they are in, being in Windsor will bring them 20 miles closer to Central London and Buckingham Palace. The family currently lives in Apartment 1A at the Palace, a tourist attraction that boasts gardens and exhibitions.

It also serves as the residence of other royals, like The Dukes and Duchesses of Gloucester and of Kent. Alternatively, Prince Harry used to live in the neighboring apartment before his marriage to Meghan Markle in 2018.
