Buckingham Palace confirmed that Queen Elizabeth is under medical monitoring at Balmoral after physicians became concerned about her health.

"Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral," a palace statement said.

The immediate family members of the British monarch have been notified.

To recall, Queen Elizabeth met departing Prime Minister Boris Johnson Tuesday prior to the appointment of new Prime Minister, Liz Truss, at Balmoral.

Truss was seated on the front bench of the House of Commons following her first major policy speech as prime minister when she received the news about the Queen.

In a tweet, the new prime minister stated that the entire nation would be "deeply concerned" by the news. Truss also shared that her thoughts were with Queen Elizabeth and the whole British royal family.

Press Association reported the first indication that something was amiss was when Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Nadhim Zahawi entered the Chamber, sat close to the Prime Minister, and began chatting to her hurriedly during Labour leader Keir Starmer's response to her energy statement.

Angela Rayner, Starmer's deputy, and Lindsay Hoyle, the speaker of the House of Commons, also both received a message.

"Something odd is going on in the Commons. Zahawi briefing pm urgently," Labour MP Chris Bryant wrote on Twitter just minutes away after the news about Queen Elizabeth's health broke.

"I know I speak on behalf of the entire house when I say that we send our best wishes to Her Majesty the Queen and that she and the royal family are in our thoughts and prayers at this moment, The Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle told MPs.

Meanwhile, Sky News reporter Rhiannon Mills revealed that Prince Charles, Prince William and the rest of the royal family were informed about the doctors' decision. The clan reportedly does not want another wrong detail to make rounds online following reports that Queen Elizabeth suffered an ugly fall last night -- which the journalist already debunked.

"Of course, there undoubtedly is going to be concern about the Queen. It was only last night at six o'clock that we were informed by Buckingham Palace that the Queen had to pull out of conducting a Privy Council meeting which had been pencilled in yesterday evening," Mills stated.

"Last night, they said that after a full day on Tuesday, Her Majesty had accepted the doctor's advice to rest, which had meant the Privy Council meeting that she was due to be conducting, albeit remotely from Balmoral, wasn't able to go ahead," he continued.
