The dating rumors surrounding West and Swanepoel began during the New York Fashion Week. As the two seemed to be mingling, onlookers couldn't help but think something was happening between them.
However, amid these claims, UsWeekly reported their relationship is "more business than personal." A source told the publication that they were only together at the time for promotional stuff for his Yeezy line.
The insider continued that they work together well and even bond over fashion. So, any claims about a working relationship are not true at all. They are never romantically involved, and the model is just one of the designer's muses.
The rumors about the two got worse when they were seen together at an event for the 45-year-old's Yeezy Gap sunglasses on September 13. The Victoria's Secret model donned the accessory for the event and shared a photo on Instagram with the "Bound 2" rapper. West reposted the image, adding more fuel to the fire.
Meanwhile, amid the dating rumors with Swanepoel, West reportedly offered Kardashian help to renovate her new $70-million beach house in Malibu. However, the reality star seemed to refuse, wanting to do things on her own.
A different source told HollywoodLife that aside from her house next door to her Hidden Hills property, it was the first home she purchased on her own after their split. So, she wanted to be "totally hands-on" with decorating and everything.
"As much as she appreciates the gesture, she'd prefer to handle this alone," the tipster added. Despite that, West is said to be happy that Kardashian has also found a place in Malibu to stay. The record producer also purchased a $57.3-million property in Malibu in September 2021.
Even though the ex-couple is living in the same place, they still have privacy and distance between each other that comfort will never be an issue. In fact, an alleged friend close to the SKIMS founder revealed Kardashian consulted West before she bought her new property as she wanted him to know about the deal.
The exes have reportedly been able to meet in the middle when it comes to making some decisions about their kids. Hence, things are so much easier for them today compared to the early days of their separation.
