Gege Akutami's movie adaptation of his manga,"Jujutsu Kaisen 0," has proven to be a huge success. However, the film can't help ending up with a major cliffhanger, leaving fans hanging about what will happen next.
As the film sets the stage for "Jujutsu Kaisen" Season 2, there are questions fans need some answer to. Why do Yuta and Gojo share the post-credit scene? Is Maki in love with Yuta?
The movie's post-credit scene seems to change the whole scenario, seeing a glimpse of Yuta. He appears to be enjoying beef stew in Africa with his former enemy, Miguel.
Gojo enters the scene and greets the two, hyping up the fans more. However, after making the viewers excited, the film ends there. So, what does this reunion mean?
Different theories have come out as to why Gojo visits Yuta in Africa. But, it was later confirmed that Goko wanted Yuta to protect the first-year students if something bad happened to him.
This defies the fans' belief that Yuta will return to Jujutsu High to meet the first-year students, believing his debut will not happen until "Jujutsu Kaisen" Season 3. To make matters worse, his debut may even introduce him as the antagonist as he has to eliminate the series' main character, Itadori.
Meanwhile, fans are also left hanging by "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" ending, asking if Maki is in love with Yuta or if that feeling may have already been gone as the movie concludes. By the looks of it, Maki indeed has feelings for Yuta.
It may have something to do with Yuta's treatment of Maki, seeing her as a real person. It greatly differs from how her family treats her--a "powerless mistake."
They often scold her and strongly despise her for not having any cursed energy or technique. Alternatively, Yuta is proud of her for chasing after her dream despite the challenges she's facing.
He even admits that he wants to be as strong as she is. He has also been there to help and support her all the way, making her fall in love with him.
It's why Panda said in "Jujutsu Kaisen" Season 1 that Maki's tough side softens whenever Yuta's name is brought up. In fact, her feelings remain even after they haven't seen each other since he's in Africa to train with Miguel in "Jujutsu Kaisen 0." With the distance between them, she may be looking forward to seeing him again in the future.
