Boruto is about to face the real enemy in "Boruto" Episode 280, titled "Breakthrough." After battling Rokuro, the protagonist will go one-on-one against Kiseru, who's about to show his true colors.

Kiseru now has to stop pretending and show the real him in "Boruto" Episode 280. He can no longer hide among them and act as an imposter, so he has to fight against Boruto this time.

The battle is believed to be intense with Kiseru's quick and decisive abilities. He has successfully taken out both Batta and Fuguro without a sweat, and he's also known as not just a regular ninja.

Despite that, Boruto will still win, though he may get the help of Sarada and the rest of the gang. The group will back him up to bring down the real enemy.

Elsewhere, fans will also see Ouga's real motives that will clear the air of his mystery in "Boruto" Episode 280. However, there are theories he may destroy immediately, as both probabilities are likely to happen.

In the new episode preview, Boruto confronts Kiseru and asks him if he's indeed working under Ouga. Though the trailer doesn't confirm that he's a traitor, their talk proves Rikuro lied about him, and he should believe him.

The Shinobis are later seen outside the testing experiment grounds and wearing masks. However, Team 7 seems to be missing in action, as they're nowhere to be seen.

Hence, fans hope this scene will result in a story development that will boost the arc. If not, it's believed to be a waste.

From there, the fight between Boruto and Kiseru will begin in "Boruto" Episode 280. The former will learn that the man he's with is the traitor working with Ouga.

But it may also be revealed that Shaumon is the real traitor, considering anything can happen in this arc.

Meanwhile, "Boruto" Episode 279, titled "The Obstacle: Seven," saw Boruto had a face-off against Rokuro. The team was teleported to a place where they were assigned random numbers and forced to cooperate or fight to pass the test.

Kiseru caught on to Batta's theft, instantly attacked him and Fugou, and successfully took them out of the fight. When Boruto fought Rokuro, their battle ended wholesomely, knowing the latter wasn't the true enemy.

That said, the real villain will come out in "Boruto" Episode 280, and a big battle is about to ensue when the new episode drops on Sunday, December 8.
