The first season of "Chainsaw Man" nears its end, but several fans are clamoring for a complete remake of the anime series. One fan started a petition online, which is now gaining traction, demanding Studio MAPPA hire a different animation director.

Though it cannot be denied that "Chainsaw Man" anime is a success, many are still discontented with how the show is going. After the penultimate episode aired last week, the petition began, and it reportedly has almost 2,000 signatures, most of which are Japanese.

Ever since the news about the anime adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga began, it instantly became one of the most anticipated anime series.

It was highly marketed and publicized, but compared to the manga, the anime didn't perform critically and financially well. That said, fans, especially Japanese followers, raised their concerns over its animation, tone, casting, color palette, and background score.

A Japanese fan using the handle Kobeni's Car started the petition on Change.org via SportsKeeda, to ask for the complete remake of the "Chainsaw Man" anime. With a lengthy explanation, the user detailed the fans' demands, focusing on the anime's aspects that they disagreed with.

However, as the first season comes to an end, will MAPPA still hear fans' cries? The anime is now gearing up for its finale and hyping up its final episode with a special new trailer, showing the biggest moments from the series.

Fujimoto's original manga has been a huge hit with fans, making the wait for its anime adaptation a big one. Though there are complaints, MAPPA has tried its best to meet all the anticipation and may even work better on that if the series ever gets a second season order.

Fans have waited for each episode's release since it started in October. Now, in a couple of days, the climax is about to come as the upcoming Episode 12 will officially put the first season to a close.

Comicbook noted the finale is a big deal for everyone who has worked behind the series at the MAPPA studio. Hence, they have put together a special trailer to excite fans more about what's to come.

It mostly focuses on Power, showing off some of her highlights from all 11 episodes. So, to see more of her and the rest of the fan-favorite characters, watch for the "Chainsaw Man" anime finale when its drops on Tuesday, December 27, in Japan. Crunchyroll will stream the final episode when it finally hits overseas.
