Prince Harry has detailed the text exchange between his wife, Meghan Markle, and his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, that led to their infamous feud before the Sussexes' 2018 wedding in his controversial memoir, "Spare." Prince William's wife is reportedly "very upset with the revelations."
Tom Bower, the "Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors" author, revealed Kate Middleton is "outraged and hurt" after Prince Harry publicly unveiled her infamous feud over the bridesmaid dresses with Meghan Markle. Amid the claims that the Duchess of Sussex made the Princess of Wales cry, the Duke of Sussex seemed to support his wife's revelation in their 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview that the opposite happened.
The former senior royal claimed that his brother's wife wanted all the bridesmaid dresses to be remade four days before the royal wedding. She allegedly complained that Princess Charlotte's dress didn't fit properly.
As it led to a heated text exchange between the two women, the future queen consort eventually agreed to meet the former actress's tailor to fix her daughter's dress. After a day, the controversial royal revealed that the princess brought flowers and a card and apologized.
In addition, Prince Harry alleged that Meghan Markle was reprimanded after telling Kate Middleton she "must have baby brains because of her hormones" as she just gave birth to Prince Louis.
Bowers told Page Six that the attacks against Wales were "grotesquely gutter" and "disgraceful." He even noted that the book was finished when Prince Harry attended the late Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September, adding that his deception at the time, knowing what he had written against his family without hinting what was to come, was "unbelievable."
In the fiery text exchange, Prince Harry revealed that Kate Middleton alleged that Princess Charlotte's dress was too big, long, and baggy. The former "Suits" star told her then-soon-to-be-sister-in-law that the tailor had been waiting for them and she could take the kid to have her dress altered, just like other moms did.
From there, Kate Middleton allegedly demanded to have all the dresses remade. But Meghan Markle tried to make the former understand the pressure she was under due to the issues surrounding her father.
Prince Harry added that the Duchess of Cornwall also had problems with how Meghan Markle planned her wedding, something about a party for the page boys that went back and forth. The latter seemed lost for words and asked Kate again to take Princess Charlotte to the tailor, who had been waiting all day, to which Kate replied, "Fine."
Prince Harry claimed he came home to see Meghan Markle sobbing on the floor. The palace had already stressed that it would never comment on the book's allegations.
