"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" anime is about to introduce a new arc, the Code arc, after its official announcement at Jump Festa 2023. Though the series is yet to confirm its official release date, it looks like it will come sooner than expected.
The Code arc is the fifth arc from the manga, starting with Chapter 56 and introducing the new villains, the Cyborg siblings Eida and Daemon. However, though they're about to make their official introduction in "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" anime, their voice actors are reportedly yet to be cast.
Eida and Daemon, along with The Code, will be the main antagonists of the upcoming new arc. A reputable Twitter anime news source, Shonenleaks, confirms the new storyline will begin in the release of the incoming new episode on February 12.
However, it's good to note that the series' studio, Studio Pierrot, is yet to confirm the said arc's release date. But to add more fuel to the fire, this claim is supported by the rumors during the Jump Festa 2023 Super Stage Naruto Panel that it will have an early 2023 release.
In "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 287, titled "Claw Marks," preview, the Code arc will begin with the introduction of the Code or the last active Inner from Kara's ambition, which is to transcend into a celestial body by inheriting the Otsutsuki clan's will.
However, to do this, he needs Boruto and Kawaki to cultivate the God tree so that he can consume the Chakra fruit. So, will this finally happen?
Currently, the anime is featuring the Sasuke Retsuden arc, taking viewers back to when the Akatsuki were defeated before the Kara organization arrived. It tells the short storyline about how Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura decided to seal their friendship.
The Code arc will take fans back to the present to see how Jigen's former protégé moves on now that his master is sick. Amid this intense turn of events, the Hidden Leaf Village is about to heat up in the "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" anime.
After the fight against Jigen, Konoha lost its major artillery, which they had taken for granted for years. The Seventh Hokage has lost its ability to tap into the Nine-Tailed Fox's power as the Baryon Mode has resulted in Kurama's demise.
