"Boruto" anime is about to begin its The Code arc, putting the villain Code on center stage, along with Daemon and Eida. Not only that, but Animedia Magazine also published official plotlines for the upcoming Episodes 288-290.

The Code arc will officially kick off with "Boruto" Episode 287, airing on February 12 and adapting the manga's Chapter 56 onwards. From there, Code, Daemon, and Eida will make their way to the series and hugely effect its story.

The series' upcoming Episode 288 will be titled "Captive Slaves" and air on February 19. It will see Boruto training with Kawaki, Sarada, and Mitsuki to face the new villain, Code.

However, Kawaki is upset with himself after noticing his slow progress, resulting in a feud with Boruto. Code, alternatively, will be at the base of Boro's religious organization, where he will awaken Eida, a cyborg Amado created and a former Kara senior executive. She possesses Senrigan, shinjutsu, and love charm power.

In "Boruto" Episode 289, titled "Capabilities," which will drop on February 26, Kawaki will suffer the consequence of losing his Karma, and some of his powers will be gone. From here, he will start to worry that he won't be able to protect Naruto and Konoha.

Amado will make things worse by aggravating Kawaki even more, and his assistant, Kakei Sumire, will question her boss' moves. It will be then revealed that Code has joined forces with Eida to exact his revenge.

Lastly, in Episode 290, titled "Signs," Boruto and Kawaki are in danger with Code's arrival and will be put under surveillance, with guards watching over them. Boruto will complain about the arrangement, while Kawaki will learn how to mask his chakra and escape the guards and Konoha's sensory team from Nara Shikadai and Yamanaka Inojin.

Naruto will notice what's happening in "Boruto" anime, though Kawaki will make a move to protect him. Boruto, alternatively, will detect Kawaki's movements through his intuition.

Meanwhile, the anime's writer Honda Masaya will be heading the upcoming The Code arc and revealed it would be produced by an "equally impressive staff" like Sasuke Retsudent, per Comicbook. By the looks of it, he will be overseeing this storyline from start to finish after saying he will be in "charge of a large part of its script."

"Boruto" anime's The Code arc will feature a lot of moving scenes. But as Masaya has already proven his skills since spearheading the series in Episode 67, fans can be confident that he can give it the justice it needs.
