They even shared three of his photos, as obtained by AllKpop, from before entering the military to living at the training center and being promoted to private first class, to compare his gorgeous looks. One fan said he looked handsome with chestnut hair, while another claimed he appeared like a cute hamster.
One fan noticed that Jin was becoming "rounder and rounder." Another stated he looked like a baby penguin from the animated movie "Madagascar."
Despite his stay in the military, another follower asked why he continuously looked handsome. A different fan noticed his twinkling eyes stood out more when his hair was shorter.
Meanwhile, Jin posted a photo with J-Hope and Jimin on Instagram on Friday, March 4. He captioned the snap with his fellow BTS members, "Welcome."
Wearing his military uniform, Jin posed confidently while flashing a peace sign with J-Hope and Jimin at both sides. J-Hope even commented on the post with a laugh and a heart emoji.
The word "welcome" seemed to be for J-Hope, as he's set to enlist next. Big Hit Music recently announced J-Hope's decision to cancel his enlistment postponement to begin his military service as soon as possible, and it might happen anytime this year.
Jin is the first BTS member to enlist as an active-duty soldier in the 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center on December 13, 2022. Jin used to be an active company commander trainee, commended for his outstanding leadership and job performance.
He even served as a conductor representing the trainees at a graduation ceremony, setting an example for his fellow active soldiers. After completing his basic military training, he applied as an assistant instructor.
After achieving excellent results in the ceremony, he underwent an adjustment evaluation and oral interview, resulting in being selected as an assistant instructor assigned to a team. He was then promoted to private, and fans and other media around the world noticed his excellence, proving his global popularity.
